Joseph Foreman Kint was born the youngest child of Alexander Kint and Sarah Ann Smith. They are buried in this cemetery. His father served in the Civil War and after they came to Iowa they farmed a few years until he passed away. Sarah lived on north edge of Troy Mills and some how made a living for her family...a story told me that when Joe was about five years old, he was down by the river and disappeared. Fearing he had been taken by the Indians, a search began, but he was found unharmed. Joe was married to Martha Mary Kenyon on September 18, 1895 in Buchanan County, Iowa. She is buried this cemetery. They were parents of four children: Sarah Sophrena Kint married Raymond Fay and is buried in ____; Orva Archie Fay buried in this cemetery, Infant daughter buried in this cemetery; Luva Ellen Kint married Herman Rundquist and is buried in California. It was always thought that the Kint's had Indian blood as Joe looked it...when I asked him when he was old..he said it was none of my d____ business. I thought..Oh...that must answer my question but no one ever found out the story. Joe's sister is my great-grandma Dilts.
