Alexander Kint was born the son of ______ _____ Kint and ______ _____ ______ in Holmes County, Ohio. They are buried in ____________. Alexander had one known brother, William Kint. Alexander was married to Sarah Ann Smith on March 31, 1859 in Coal City, Owen County, Indiana. They were parents of two children Josephine Kint born 1860 but died in 1864, and Nancy Katherine Kint born 1862. Alexander enlisted during the Civil War in Middleburg, Indiana on July 28, 1862 and was mustered in for a term of three years at Indianapolis, Indiana on August 18, 1862. He served at Battle of Richmond and later became ill with a fever and was declared deaf which he had since he was 12 years old. It was a family trait as his grandfather and uncle were both deaf. Alexander and Sarah and family came in a wagon train in which a span of mules were used and crossed the Mississippi River in a ferry operated by tread power on November 2, 1853. They purchased land in Buchanan County from the government on February 5, 1877 and began farming. They were parents of four more children whom were Rebecca Angeline Kint, William Riley Kint, Ida Ella Kint and Joseph Foreman Kint. Joseph was two years old when his father, Alexander died on October 2, 1877, age 40, near Troy Mills, Iowa and is buried this cemetery. Sarah then was married to John Wesley Ramsey on November 6, 1889 in Independence, Iowa. He is buried in Upper Spring Grove Cemetery with his first wife, and Sarah is buried next to Alexander Kint in this cemetery.

Josephine Kint is buried in Indiana; Nancy Catherine Kint married John Smith Bailey and is buried this cemetery; Rebecca Angeline Kint married George William Dilts and is buried this cemetery; Ida Ella Kint married Lewis Bergstrom and is buried this cemetery; Joseph Foreman Kint married Martha Mary Kenyon and is buried this cemetery.
