Edwin McMasters Stanton Leedy was the 3rd child born to "Pioneer" Samuel Leedy and Sarah Cavanaugh (Gatton) Wycough Leedy. He was reportedly a Republican and farmed in Jefferson Twp., Richland Co., OH. He married Catherine Elizabeth Swank 01-02-1888 in Jefferson Twp., Richland Co., OH. They had the following children;

BELLVILLE FARMER FALLS WHILE CARRYING LAMP, DIES OF BURNS
Edwin McMasters Stanton Leedy stumbled and fell while carrying a kersoene lamp in his home. The kerosene from the broken lamp sprayed his clothing. The flames which ignited his garments and the carpet were extinguished by his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Leedy, who heard his cries. He was rushed to Mansfield General Hospital where he died eight hours later.
