Charles F. “Ted” Dungan Sr., 83, of Brimfield died Friday in Proctor Community Hospital, Peoria.
Born July 13, 1900, in Brimfield to Charles L. and Carrie Tucker Dungan, he married Elva Marks Aug. 4, 1920 in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Robert L. of Glendale, Arz., Larry J. of Houston, Texas, Chrles F. Dungan Jr., of Chatham; two daughters, Mrs. Guyenth Bridson of Brimfield and Mrs. Patricia Savage of Florham Park, N.J.; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Elma Mulvaney of Brimfield, Mrs. Helen Schelkopf of Princeville and Mrs. Ruth Claybaugh of Elmwood.
A Brimfield resident all his life, he farmed until retiring in 1967. He was a former president of the Exchange State Bank.
Services were held Sunday at 10:30 pm with Rev. Patrick Brennan officiating. Burial was in Brimfield Cemetery. Patterson Funeral Home, Elmwood, is in charge of arrangements.
