Pearl Marguerita (also known as Mary Pearl) was the second of four children born to Mahlon Beason Holden and Nancy Ann Stringfield. She was married to William (Bill) Dawsey in 1903, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1927. They had three children together; May Olivia Dawsey Luxich, Sammy Dawsey, and Virgil, who died as an infant. In 1932 she married Jessie "Bud" Dawsey. After his death in 1949, she married Arthur R Miller in 1950.
