Jap Lambright died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday night at 7 o'clock while plowing in a field near his home on Route 2, Athens.
He was born in Athens on July 27, 1894, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dan Lambright, and except for nine months in the Armed Services during World War I, had spent all of his life in this county.
Farming had been his life-long occupation.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lola Lambright; four daughters, Mrs. Ottie Motl and Mrs. Myrtle Haney of Fort Worth, Mrs. Addie Ann Pharrris of Los Angeles, California, and Miss Fayrene Lambright of Athens; two sons, Raymond Lambright and Daniel Lambright, both of Athens; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Jiles of Athens; two brothers, Tom Lambright of Carroll Springs and Hilt Lambright of Levelland; two half-brothers, Leonard Brown of Carroll Springs and John Paulk of Athens; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the Carroll Springs Church last Sunday with the Rev. John Duckett of Athens officiating. Burial was in the Carroll Springs Cemetery.The Athens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
