She wrote to her girl friend Mary Gamble Crawford (born 1823), while she was in nearby Augusta Co. She described her brother William's horseback riding accident and friends.
Rockbridge County Death Registers say: McNutt, Frances B. (white female), died 20 Oct 1854 in Rockbridge County, Virginia of consumption (TB), aged 29 years. The daughter of James & Fanny Morrison, she was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia and was the wife of John R. McNutt, John R. McNutt reptd.
