MARLINTON, W.VA. - Richard Roy Napier, 65, of Marlinton, and formerly of Waynesboro, Va., died Thursday Dec. 16, 1993 at his home. He was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Nelson County, Va., a son of the late Roy and Rachael Marshall Napier. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Crompton Inc., a member of the Moose and the VFW. He was preceded in death by one brother, Paige Napier; and one stepson, Riger Irvine. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Grace Shinaberry Napier; one stepson, Dolan W. Irvine of Marlinton; two sisters, Ellen Davis of Nellysford, Va., and Molly Napier of Waynesboro; fir stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Lutheran Church by the Rev. Neal Weltzin. Burial will be in Augusta Memorial Park at 3 p.m. VanReenen Funeral Home, Marlinton, is handling arrangements.
