Molly Sue Napier, 85, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at Avanté of Waynesboro. Born June 27, 1922, in Nelson County, she was a daughter of the late Roy Lee and Rachel Elizabeth Marshall Napier.
She was a retired caregiver and a member of Wintergreen Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Page and Richard Napier. Survivors include a son, Donald Napier of Raphine, a sister, Eleanor "Snip" Davis of Nellysford; three grandchildren, Scott Napier, Fonda Grubbs and Wanda Sue Thimsen; and a number of great-grandchildren, all of Richmond.
She also leaves her nieces and caregivers, Mickey Desper and Ann Hughes of Stuarts Draft, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
At her request, her body will be cremated at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Staubus officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service and at other times at the residence of Mickey Desper at 163 Cambridge Drive in Stuarts Draft.
