He was a retired farmer and was born in Nelson County May 20, 1893. His wife, Mrs. Rachael (Marshall) Napier, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Richard R. Napier of Waynesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Mollie Napier of Waynesboro, and Mrs. Cecil N. Davis of Wintergreen; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The body will remain at Etter Funeral Home until 9 a.m. tomorrow when it will be taken to Wintergreen Christian Church where services will be held at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ronald E. Graham and the Rev. J. D. Farries. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
