H. M. Mikel Dies 3 Days After Brother
Howard M. (Buss) Mikel, 43, of 704 Franklin Ave., Normal, died unexpectedly at 9 a. m. Thursday at his home.
His brother, Aimer, died unexpectedly Monday at Hammond, Ind. Almer was a former Downs resident.
Howard’s funeral will be at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Stamper Memorial Home, with the Rev. Gordon White officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery,Downs.
He was born July 7, 1915, at Downs, a son of Aimer and Nettie, Craig Mikel. He married Ann ] Erickson April 17, 1945, at Vancouver, Wash.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Helen, Linda and Sylvia, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Rachel Roe, Champaign; Mrs. Dorothy McCoy, Harrisburg, Pa.; Mrs. Maurine Phillips; Miss Ruth Mikel, Downs and Mrs. Fern Knudsen, Brazil, Ind.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
