Rachel L. Gibson
Rachel L. Gibson, 83, of 410 E. Washington St., Bloomington, formerly of 824 E. Douglas St., Bloomington, died at 6:46 p.m. Sunday(Aug. 19, 1984) at her home.
Her graveside funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hopewell Cemetery, Downs, the Rev. Fred Belcher officiating.
There will be no visitation. Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gibson was born April 23, 1901, in Downs, a daughter of Almer and Nettie Craig Mikel.
She married Walter B. "Johnnie” Roe June 7, 1935. He died Feb. 19, 1961.
She married Jay Gibson June 12, 1966. He died July 19, 1981.
Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy McCoy, Harrisburg, Pa., and Maurine Phillips, Downs. Mrs. Gibson graduated from Mennonite Hospital School of Nursing.
