Mr. Croford was born July 17, 1912 in Bosque County to Robert and Mary Croford. He was in the Army during World War II, where he received the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, two Battle Stars, EAME, and Good Conduct Medals. He retired from the VA Hospital after 23 years.
He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Dean Croford.
Survivors include his wife, Lula Mae Croford; son, Mike and Marsha Croford of Abbott; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
