Helen Stella Salahub, 86, of Littlefork, MN died at her home on Saturday November 20, 2010.
Helen was born on June 16, 1924 at East Chicago, Indiana. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She lived in California from 1948 until 1974 when the family moved to Littlefork were they bought a cattle farm on the Lindford Road. The Former Helen Remiszewski was united in marriage to William Salahub on Dec. 13, 1948 in Reno, Nevada.
She enjoyed life on the cattle farm, cooking, baking, blueberry picking, fishing in Alaska and Kenora, Ontario. She loved the Christmas season and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, and son, Lawrence Salahub.
Helen is survived by a son, Steven Salahub of Littlefork, two daughters, Mary Lou (Rick) Peel of Cottonwood, Arizona, Ellen (Steve) Hastings, of St. Cloud, MN, and eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 24th, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Green-Larsen Mortuary with visitation one hour prior.
Interment will be in Lindford Cemetery in Littlefork, MN.
