She was born Sept. 17, 1922 in Pulaski County and was the daughter of the late Charles and Martha Elizabeth Rorrer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Vaughan; a son, Thomas Ellis Vaughan; a daughter, Alyne V. Surratt; two grandsons, Tommy Vaughan and Anthony Vaughan; seven brothers; and five sisters.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Charlie King; son and daughter-in-law, Fredric "Sonny" and Wanda Vaughan; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski. Interment was in Thornspring Cemetery.
Visiting was Friday evening at Stevens Funeral Home. Flower are appreciated, or please make a donation in Hazel's memory to your favorite children's charity.
