Thomas Ellis Vaughan, 64, of Route 3, Pulaski Brookmont Road, died Thursday in the VA Medical Center, Salem.

Born May 23, 1938 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Thomas James Vaughan.

He was a former employee of Lynchburg Foundry in Radford and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended New Hope Baptist Church, Pulaski.

Surviving are his wife, Ann N. Vaughan of Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa V. and Allen Davis of Pulaski; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles E. "Chuck" Vaughan of Pulaski, Thomas W. and Karen Vaughan of Chattanooga, Tenn.; his mother, Hazel Rorrer Vaughan of Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth King of Pulaski and Mrs. Alyne Surratt of Draper, on brother, : Fredric "Sonny" Vaughan of Pulaski; six grandchildren, Zachery Thomas Vaughan, Robert Stanley Vaughan, Jesse Ellis Vaughan, Anthony Marvin Davis, Yana Davis and Todd Davis; and a special mother in-law, Sarah K. Nixon of Pulaski.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Clayton Sweet and the Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Ray Cemetery, Pulaski County, with the VFW Post of Pulaski conducting a military graveside rite. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements
