Services Held For Father Of Mrs. Verne Williams Monday
Horace E. Hoover, 84, former Tippecanoe Superior court bailiff, died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Roy W. Isreal, 1216 Main, after an illness of three years.
Born at Tipton, he had been a resident of Lafayette since 1915. He farmed in Benton county near Remington for several years and served as bailiff of Superior court in Lafayette from 1943 until he retired in 1951. He married May Parks in 1898; she died in 1943. He was a member of Trinity Methodist church.
Surviving besides Mrs. Isreal, is another daughter, Mrs. Verne Williams of Remington; a son, Lowell C. Hoover of Portland, O., and Rev. Albert Hoover of Lebanon.
Services were held Monday at the Soller and Bakers funeral home in Lafayette at 1:30. Burial in Remington cemetery.
