HOMER MAXWELL HOOVER

Homer M. Hoover was a native of Gilboa Twp, Benton County, Indiana. He had spent his adult years as a salesman of farm implements with various different companies and also as a manager of the Paper Machine Company in Dallas, Texas. He had married Edna Mitten, of Wadena, and resided near Goodland, Indiana for many years. Two years prior to his death, he had moved with his wife, Edna to Brookston. He and his son, Homer Arnold Hoover, together they operated the Hoover Implement Company in Brookston. He stayed active in the community, attending the Methodist Church and as a member of the Elks Lodge of Lafayette, the Knights of Pythias and Modern Woodmen of America.

He had passed away at the Home Hospital in Lafayette at the age of 59, following a cerebral hemorrhage on December 18, 1945.
