Andrew Franklin Love was born on January 14, 1814 in York County, South Carolina. He married Mary Seraphina Moore on January 19, 1837 in York County, South Carolina.

Andrew Franklin Love enlisted at the age of 49 with the 34th Regiment, South Carolina States Reserve Infantry on July 7, 1863 at Smith's Old Field in York County, South Carolina. He was paroled at the end of the war.

Andrew Franklin Love was the father of eight children. Two of his sons served in the Confederate Army, one of which was killed in action at Spottsylvania. He died shortly after the end of the War Between the States on September 23, 1865 in York County, South Carolina. He is buried at Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Rock Hill, York County, South Carolina....
