Funeral services for Reuben Alton Ludwig, 85, of Beasley, TX, are set for 10 AM Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1208 5th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with Pastor Claude Villemaire officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX.
Visitation will be 9 - 10:00 AM Wednesday at the church, for one hour preceding the service.
Reuben Ludwig was born August 20, 1924, in Beasley, TX, to Christian John "C J" Ludwig and Minnie Knipstein Ludwig. He died June 25, 2010, in Beasley, TX. He was a farmer, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family and enjoyed his friends, especially those at the Beasley Coffee Shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alvina Hartmann and husband, Norbert, and Malinda Graeber and husband, William; sister-in-law, Doris Ludwig; and brothers, Alvin Ludwig, Walter Ludwig and wife, Valasta, Otto Ludwig and wife, Meta, and Edvin Ludwig and wife, Alma.
Survivors include brother, Louis Edvin Ludwig of Needville, TX, and 12 nieces and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Dr. Lloyd Hartmann, Kevin Ludwig, Chris Ludwig, Kenneth Bohacek, Jimmy Tieman, and James Anderson.
