Mrs. Amanda Olig, 80, of Mt. Calvary, died Thursday afternoon at St. Agnes Hospital.

She was born Feb. 28, 1893, at Mt. Calvary, a daughter of Anton and Mary Abler Petrie. She was married to Frank Olig on Oct. 29, 1912, at Mt. Calvary, and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1962.

They farmed in the Mt. Calvary area until 1944 when they moved to Mt. Calvary. Mrs. Olig was a resident of Maple Manor Nursing Home since May 1973.

She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church at Mt. Calvary, Christian Mothers Society, Third Order of St. Francis and Mt. Calvary Area Senior Citizen Center.

Surviving are a son, Ervin of New Holstein; three daughters, Mrs. Emil Feldner and Mrs. Ray Eiring, both of St. Cloud and Mrs. Clem Kasper of Chilton; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Oscar Stephany of New Holstein; and four brothers, Rudolph of Johnsburg, Alfred of New Holstein, Roman and Alex of St. Joe.

Mrs. Olig was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, and by a son, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Mt. Calvary. The Rev. Rupert Dorn will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Vistation for Mrs. Olig will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
