Virginia A. (Olig) Eiring, age 98, formerly of St. Cloud and New Holstein, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac where she resided since August of 2023; she was at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary for the previous eight years.
She was born May 21, 1925, to Frank & Amanda (Petrie) Olig. Virginia attended Holy Cross Catholic Grade School in Mount Calvary.
On October 11, 1947, she married Raymond Eiring at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary. Ray preceded her in death on April 26, 2000.
She was employed at the former Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for 29 years until retiring.
Virginia was a member of Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Cloud site and the Christian Women's Society.
Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Patricia (Robert) Ausloos of Kiel and Judy Champaign of Menasha; three grandchildren, Eric (Mindy) Ausloos of New Holstein, Casey (Kristin) Ausloos of Menasha, and David (Ashley) Champaign of Appleton; eight, great-grandchildren, Caleb & Chloe Ausloos, Brady, Olivia, & Anderson Ausloos, Owen, Ethan, & Evelyn Champaign; her sister, Marge Kasper of Chilton; and her brother-in-law, Chuck (Mary) Eiring of St. Cloud. She is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Raymond; her parents, Frank & Amanda Olig; her sister, Arlene (Emil ''Happy'') Feldner, her brothers, Elmer (Teckla) Olig & Ervin Olig; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Herman Sr. & Maggie Eiring; her brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Clement Kasper, Helen Olig, Irwin (Frances Clare) Eiring, Art (Bea) Eiring, Vera (Clarence) Goebel, Joe (Doris) Eiring, and Herman Jr. (Ruth) Eiring.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Cloud site, 924 Main Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Larry Abler, OFM Cap will officiate.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Virginia's family at the church in St. Cloud on Wednesday, January 17th from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for Cristo Rey Ranch.
