Annie Maude Sargent

Annie Maude Sargent, age 81, of Monroe, passed away Nov. 1, 2010. Funeral services were Nov. 3 in the Monroe Church of God with remains placed in state. The Rev. Wayne Durden officiated and interment followed in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Sargent was retired from Walton Mills after 42 years of service and later served as a hostess at McDonald’s in Monroe for 17 years. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Sargent, and is survived by her husband, Herman M. Sargent; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Linda Sargent, of Monroe, Kim and Martha Sargent, of Commerce; brother, Willie Joe Carter, of Monroe; grandchildren, Kenny Sargent, Andy Sargent, Marie Clark, Renee Fralick and Ashley Sargent; and seven great-grandchildren.
Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Monroe, was in charge of the arrangements.
