Services for David C. Gaar Sr., 66, of Alexandria will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Hixson Bros. with the Rev. William Fraser and Dr. Sam DeBorde officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens.

Gaar, deputy in the Rapides Parish assessor's office, died at 4 a.m. Saturday in his residence. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Dugger Gaar of Alexandria; a son, David C. Gaar Jr. of Monroe; a daughter, Margaret Coker of Hazlewood, Mo.; a step-daughter, Idella Ruth Wooley of Monroe; a brother, M. W. Gaar of Lecompte; a sister, Camille Wall of Alexandria; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
