A lifelong resident of Winn Parish, Mrs. Gaar was born January 21, 1888 near Dodson. She was a member of the Dodson Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Gaar are her husband, J. M. Gaar of Dodson; two sons, Cordel Gaar of Monroe and Masquellette Gaar of Alexandria; one daughter, Mrs. A. D. Wall of Dodson; three grandchildren; her father, E. Walker, one sister, Mrs. Iva W. Peters, both of Dodson; two brothers, Morgan W. Walker of Alexandria and W. G. Walker of New Orleans.
Pallbearers were Murphy Barr, Wilbur Sholars, Scotland Campbell, and D. E. Gaar, all of Dodson; Jack Thompson and Victor Henderson of Alexandria.
