Wife of Andrew Bovee
Unfound gravestone

WYOMING COUNTY TIMES, April 15, 1908
Charity Bovee, who had been a member of the household of her brother-in-law, Joseph W. Pratt, for the past six years, closed her eyes in the long sleep Wednesday, April 8, 1908. Charity Post was born in the town of Gainesville on March 1, 1824, the 6th child of Christopher and Marie Post, pioneers of Gainesville. Her parents came from Scipio, New York in the early days with a ox team and settled on a farm near East Gainesville. They occupied a log home without floors and endured the privations of our early settlers.
In 1845 she was united in marriage to Andrew Bovee of Gainesville, he died in 1893. He had been an engineer for many years, prior to his death he was an engineer on the Silver Lake Railroad.
Unto them were born two children, Marie, who died in infancy; Christopher D. Bovee of Pittsburg, Pa.; also surviving are a sister, Elsie Jones; a brother, Daniel Post, both of Buffalo.
"Aunt Charity" joined the Universalist Church of Perry and was a consistent member. She was one of earth's purest and best being held in high esteem by those privileged to enjoy her acquantance. Her last days were made as pleasant as possible by her niece, Mrs. Effie Pratt.
The funeral services were held from the home of Mr. Pratt on Friday. Rev. Clara Morgan with Rev. L. L. Rogers officiated and the remains were taken to the Silver Springs Cemetery for burial by the side of her husband.--Silver Springs Signal

Western New Yorker, 1895-1896: Mrs. Andrew Bovee entertained her son Chris, his wife and son of Buffalo at her home.
