Services for George E. Brown, 68, of 838 Locke Ave., will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mr. Brown died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at Schoitz Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 24, 1914, in Benton County, son of George Roy and Minnie Kaiser Brown On Aug. 30, 1933, he married Maxine Baird in Galena, Ill. He was a carpenter for John G. Miller Construction Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1977.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard L. of 1002 Prospect Blvd.; a daughter, Mrs. Sheryl Myers of 2258 Avon Ave.; three brothers, Ralph of La Porte City, Everett of Brandon and Robert F. of Medford, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Snovel and Mrs. Floriene Childres, both of California; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Locke Funeral Home after noon Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
