Richard L. "Dick" Brown, 67, of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 18 at home in Temple, Texas.
He was born October 30, 1942 in Waterloo, son of George and Maxine Baird Brown. He married Vicki Knight on February 16, 1963 in Waterloo.
Mr. Brown worked as a bricklayer his entire life. He worked for Joh G. Miller and was the owner and operator of Brown Masonary in Waterloo. The couple co-owned McKenna & McNelly Photography for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 290, Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 28, and the Waterloo Cedar Falls Homebuilders Association.
Survived by his wife, Vicki; one son, Timothy (Michelle) of Wichita, Kansas; one daughter, Christine (Bill) Jones of Texas; four grandchildren, Taylor and Mason Brown, Joshua (Bonnie) Jones and Kaitlyn Jones; and one great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Ann Jones.
Preceded in death by his parents; Gram D.; one brother, Max; and one sister, Sheryl.
Services 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel in charge of arrangements.
