Ruth Maxine Brown, 89, of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 15, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.
She was born Feb. 7, 1917, in Vinton, She married George Brown on Aug. 30, 1933, in Galena, Ill. He died Sept. 8, 1982.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Vicki) of Waterloo; a daughter, Sheryl (Don) Myers of Waterloo; five granchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son, Max; two brothers, Marion Baird and an infant; and a sister, Lucile Robinette.
Services 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 11 a.m. until services Tuesday at the chapel.
