Daughter of James Yorgason and his first wife Christena Johnson Yorgason.

Her middle name "Cecelia" was in honor of her maternal aunt Cecelia "Celia" Johnson, of Omaha, Nebraska. Because Elinor's parents had eloped while her maternal grandparents' family was preparing to leave the Utah territory, her mother was the only member of the Johnson family who remained in Utah.

Married to James Edward Morgan at the Manti Temple in Sanpete county, Utah on January 14, 1899.

Eight children.

She died while visiting her daughter E. Lucille Babcock in the San Francisco East Bay community of Albany, California. She had been visiting for 6 months, and it seems her death was unexpected; an autopsy was conducted.

Her California death certificate shows that the local mortuary had her transported to Nampa, Idaho.

Date of burial at Boise, Idaho was January 22, 1954.
