The youngest child born to James Yorgason aka James Y. Johnson was a boy, whose name at birth was Enoch Yorgason. The child and his mother lived as boarders in or near Provo, Utah, while James Yorgason was relocating from Utah to southern California.

When the child's mother was injured and died, the child was placed with Olivia Berg Nuttall and her husband George Nuttall. Word of the death of the child's mother eventually traveled to Los Angeles, and James Yorgason aka James Y. Johnson sent his adult son John William Yorgason aka John Johnson to Utah to fetch the child, to bring him to California to be with family.

However, the Nuttalls refused to release the child to his half-brother, and made it clear that the child was not going to be returned to his blood relatives without a very big fight. John William Yorgason aka John Johnson could not find a way to get his half-brother away from the Nuttalls, and eventually he returned to his father in California empty-handed. James Yorgason aka James Y. Johnson was unable to travel to Utah himself to claim his youngest son, and so the Nuttalls succeeded in illegally keeping the child.

Enoch Yorgason was raised as Clifford Nuttall. He was not raised in a loving home by loving parents. His adoptive mother was cold and distant, and his Nuttall relatives never accepted him as a Nuttall, and were verbally abusive towards him.

Late in life, long after the death of Mr. and Mrs. Nuttall, Clifford Nuttall was found by his Yorgason relatives, and he learned the circumstances of his birth. He was invited to an annual Yorgason family reunion, where he met his last remaining sibling, his brother Ernest Yorgason. Clifford Nuttall informally changed his name back to Yorgason, and his son Kenneth formally changed his surname from Nuttall to Yorgason.
