TWO PERSON KILLED IN CAR WRECK
Two persons from Minco were killed and five others were injured in a two-car collision, which occurred at the intersection o U.S. Highways 66 and 81 South, east of El Reno at 12:55 p.m. Saturday.
Those killed in the wreck was Mrs. Edna Mae Brown, 56, and her daughter, Maedean Brown, 14, both of Minco, route 0ne.
Others injured was Huitt Nervel Clifton 22, driver of the car. He had cuts about his head and face and a broken elbow.
Charles Quinton Brown, 23, a son of Mrs. Brown received a broken collar bone and cuts about his head and face. His wife Mrs. Arnetta Lou Brown, 20, suffered cuts on her face and severe bruises. Little Susan Kay Brown, 2 , daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Charles Brown suffered a smashed nose and cuts about her face.
George Leslie Fletcher, 34, of El Reno received a broken leg and head injuries.
All the injured were taken to the El Reno Sanitarium for treatment.
Highway patrolman, Paul O. Scott, reported all members of the Brown family were riding in a 1941 model sedan driven north on U.S. 81 by Clifton.
Fletcher who was traveling alone, was driving a 1937 model sedan east on U.S. 66. Patrolman Scott said the two vehicles crashed together in the intersection, the front of the Fletcher automobile colliding w3ith the side of the car driven by Clifton, Neither car overturned but the Clifton car was completely demolished and the other vehicle was almost a total loss.
Members of the Brown family were on their way to radio station KCHE in El Reno where they were scheduled to appear in an afternoon broadcast. The Browns and others had been broadcasting regularly on Saturday afternoons giving musical program.
Charles Quinton brown, 23, and H.N. Clifton, 22 both of Minco, were released Tuesday from the sanitarium in El Reno. Both were injured Saturday in a two-car crash at the intersection of U.S. highways 66 and 81.
