EARL A. OTTO

Earl A. Otto, 69, of 105 2nd Ave. St. Nazianz died peacefully Friday afternoon January 19, 2007 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 21, 1937 in DePere son of the late Alfred and Wilma (Kuchenbecker) Otto. Earl attended Reedsville High School. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1957 until 1959.
Earl was married to the former Kathleen Polster. On April 30, 2005 he married Lola Greunke at St. Peter's UCC in Kiel. Earl was an auctioneer, a real estate broker and appraiser since 1962.
He owned and operated Earl A. Otto Realty and Auction Service. Currently Earl and his wife Lola own and operate the Tom Cat Lounge in St. Nazianz. He was a member of St. Peter's UCC in Kiel where he served on the consistory.
Earl was very active in the St. Nazianz community, he was past President of the St. Nazianz Lions Club, a Past President of the Calumet County Board of Realtors. Earl donated his auctioneering services for many organizations including, the Kiel Fish and Game, Roncalli High School, Between the Lakes Ducks Unlimited and the Manitowoc Fish and Game. He enjoyed playing sheepshead, shaking dice at the Tom Cat, driving through the countryside, and was an avid Packers fan.
Survivors include his wife, Lola; his children, Craig Otto, Jeff (Emily) Otto, Darla Otto, Lana (Jerome) Wagner; his grandchildren, Jamison (Ann) Clark, Blake Otto, Isabelle, Annabel and Krystabel Otto, AJ, Destiny and Rhonda Otto, Andrew and David Wagner, Jarrod Meinnert; a great grandchild, Benjamin Clark; his siblings, Roy (Diane) Otto, Betty Koenig and special friend Lloyd, Audrey Schneider; brother-in-law, Merle Voelker. Earl is further survived by his mother-in-law, Stella Olson; step-daughters, Brenda (Jim) Evenson, Bridget (Glenn) Braun, and Beth (Joe) Blatz; step-grandchildren, Mike and Melissa Evenson, Amber and Becky Blatz, Chelsea, Montana, John, David, Glen Jr. Braun, Tammy Braun Olig, Amy Braun Hickmann; step-great grandchildren, Emma Evenson, Jacob, Adam and Carrie Olig, Parker and Kaeleigh Braun, and Ella Hickmann; one aunt, Clara Kuchenbecker; brother-in-law, Marvin (Ruth) Olson; sister-in-law, Naomi Luebke. Earl also is survived by many close friends, including his special dice shaking buddies at the Tom Cat Lounge.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Voelker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday January 23, 2007 at St. Peter's UCC, 424 Fremont St. Kiel with Rev. Judine Duerwaechter and Rev. David Mercer officiating. Burial in the Kiel City Cemetery. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Monday January 22, 2007 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
Earl's family would like to extend a special Thank You to the Staff of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center especially Dr. Kumar and Dr. Schulz, to the staff of Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and ER especially Dr. Johnson.
They would also like to Thank the Valders Ambulance and St. Nazianz First responders and Rev. Judine and Rev. Mercer for all the kindness shown to them.
