Mr. Linchesky was born on Aug. 18, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Max and Eulah (Cunion) Linchesky. He was married on Dec. 7, 1957 to Mary Jane Rockwell in Madison. He was married on June 12, 1988 to Caroline Jaschob Walber in Kiel.
Mr. Linchesky was a Gurnee, Illinois High School graduate. He was employed as a railroad engineer. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam, the American Legion and the DAV. He was in the U.S. Navy from April 1, 1951 to March 31, 1954, serving 26 months in Japan.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Linchesky, Beaver Dam; one daughter, Jacqueline (James) Ungrodt, Kiel; grandsons, Christopher (Lisa) Ungrodt, Sheboygan and Timothy Ungrodt, Dallas, Texas; step children, Debbie (Troy) Walber, Petty (Elliot) Meyers and Jeffrey Walber, all of Beaver Dam and Steven (Julie) Walber, Kiel; 10 grandchildren, Rebecca, Noelle, Gabrielle and Isabelle Walker, Taylor and Carley Meyers, Samuel and Claire Walber and Clinton and Jade Anna Walber; one brother, Max (Midge) Linchesky, Chicago; two sisters, Joanne Hernandez, Chicago and Judy (Robert) Heeman, Darien, Ill.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary Jane. Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 24 from 9 am until the time of service at Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam. Memorials may be made to Hillside Hospice Program, Beaver Dam or to Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam.
