Fairybelle (Michael) Benham, 96, Alexis, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born Sunday, April 3, 1921, in Eskridge, Kansas, the daughter of Jeannette I. (Sloan) and Everette P. Michael.

She was a graduate of Alexis High School.

She married Kenneth Arlo Benham on October 8, 1943. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1988.

She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and sewing. She loved to collect rabbits.

She was a member of North Henderson United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeannette I. (Sloan) and Everette P. Michael; her husband, Kenneth Arlo Benham; one daughter, Novella Mae Benham; five sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth W. (Mary) Benham of Wataga, David L. (Susie) Benham of Wataga, and Janice G. (Warren) King of Alexis; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
