Rev. John F. Wagner, who preached to the United Brethren congregations in Kansa for many years but who had been retired for the past few years, died Wednesday night at 11:40 o'clock at 2:30 o'clock at the Church of God. Rev. H. W. Morgan will conduct the services. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

John F. Wagner was born January 5, 1851 in Pennsylvania. He attended Knox College in Illinois Mr. Wagner was marrieds to Margaret Smart on April 28, 1871 in Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Wagner came to Kansas to live at Wakeeney in 18o7o1. Mrs. Wagner died at Wakeeney in 1881. MR. Wagner was married to Elizabeth Turner on April 5, 1883. Mrs. Elizabeth Wagner died November 3, 1929 at Emporia. Mr. Wagner is survived by four children, Mrs. Mamie Ella Munsel, of Bend, Ore.; Barney Wagner, of Emporia; Artie Wagner, address unknown, and Mrs. Bessie Crisp, of Chalk Mound.

Funeral services for Rev. John F. Wagner, retired United Brethren Church minister, who died Wednesday night at his home, 217 Union were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at the Church of God. Rev. H. W. Morgan officiated. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Erwin Waite, Dwight Starkey, J. G. Hollar, Lester Grimmett, Roy Killion and Ivan Grimmett.
