Artle B. Wagner Dead
Artie B. Wagber, who lived at 119 South Washington, died Tuesday evening at 6;05 o'clock in St. Mary's Hospital.
Mr. Wagner was born June 6, 1877, in Galesburg, Ill., a son of the late John F. Wagner. He was married to lla Craig in Americus in 1906 and moved to Emporia in 1936.
He is survived by two sons, A.L. Wagner, Rt.1, Nepsho Rapids, and Cleo C. Wagner, 811 Watson; five daughters, Mrs. Fred J. Barrett, 1214 West Fifth, Mrs. Rakph Kable, 218 Exchange, Mrs. Glenn Gunn, Centerview, Mo., Mrs. Clarence Morrison, La Crosse, and Mrs. Mac Cossart, Kansas City, Mo., one brother, Barney Wagner, 109 Neosho, two sisters, Mrs. John Crisp, Alta Vista, and Mrs. James Munsel, Oregon; nine granddaughters and nine grandsons.
Funeral services for Artie B. Wagner, who lived at 119 South Washington, and sho died Tuesday at St. Mary's hospital, were held Friday afternoon at the Roberts- Blue Chapel. The Rev. Maryin Allen pastor of the Church of God conducted the services. Mrs. Kenneth Smith and Mrs. Marvin Allen sang, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Plummer.
Pallbearers were Lee Fowler, Oscar Moore, Mack Robinson, C.W. Wherer, Warren Bloom and Riley Russell. Burial was in the Maplewood cemetery.
Out of town relatives who attended the services were Mrs. Hurley Smith and Mr. and Mrs. James Cossairs, Kansas City, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Crisp, Alta Vista; Mrs. Glenn Gunn, Centerview, Mo., James Crisp, Council Grove; Marlon Jackson, Bushong; Mrs, Clarence Morrison, La Crosse; and Jack W. Crisp, Alta Vista.
