Erma Parkin Bollwinkel, 93, passed away April 14, 2000.
Born August 13, 1906 in Woods Cross, Utah to William John and Elizabeth Salina Thurgood Parkin. Her mother came across the plains at age 1 year old. Her father also was a pioneer. Married John Vernon Bollwinkel, October 15, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away May 20, 1996. Erma served on the State Board of the P.T.A., She was the Stake Guide Leader for a number of years, Erma was a active church worker serving as President of the MIA. She taught children the Articles of Faith and was one of the last children of a pioneer that crossed the plains. Her great sense of humor was loved by all.. Erma and her husband enjoyed traveling and traveled to Hawaii and England and most of the states.

The couple had five children: Joan, Jack, Jim, Judy and Jeffery.
