John V. Bollwinkel, age 90, passed away peacefully in his sleep May 20, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born April 3, 1906 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John and Rose Hanna Seal Lloyd Bollwinkel. Married Erma Parkin in the Salt Lake Temple, October 15, 1930. He graduated from the University of Utah in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering in 1929. He was the engineer of the original CCC Camp in Vernal, Utah. After returning from Vernal he worked for the Salt Lake City Engineers office for 13 years. John owned his own business as a Registered Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor and was later hired by Salt Lake City Planning and Zoning Dept. where he worked until he retired. John served as the Stake Sunday School Superintendent for 10 years. He and his wife Erma enjoyed traveling and traveled to Hawaii and England and most of the states.

John joined his church on 5 May 1914.

The couple had five children: Joan, Jack, Jim, Judy and Jeffery.
