James VanGorder Dies From Illness - Well Known Resident of Slippery Rock Township Succumbs at Home After Brief Illness.

Ellwood City, Pa., May 24 -- James A. Van Gorder, aged 76 years of age, died at his home in Slippery Rock township this morning after a short illness. Besides his wife he leaves three children to mourn his death. Mrs. Emma Wilson, of Wayne township, Mrs. Louise Mentzer and William S., both of Slippery Rock township.

Mr. Van Gorder is well known in this vicinity, having spent the most of his life in this district. He was a faithful member of the Slippery Rock Presbyterian church, and has been a member for a large number of years. The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock, from the Presbyterian church and interment will be made in Slippery Rock cemetery.
