Reuben was married to Margaret Ellen Parker on December 20, 1861.

He served during the Civil War with Captain Wesley Sanders' Company G of the 78th Indiana Infantry.

He does not have a military headstone.

Either Reuben Webster Turner or his wife was buried in this cemetery. When Foss Lake was constructed in the late 1950s, Mansel Armstrong arranged to have all his family members' graves moved to the Clinton City Cemetery, where they are now buried.
