Grover Bean was the last child of 8 born to John Ellis Bean and his wife, Henrietta Dannenberg Bean on Nov. 21, 1883 in Rusk Co. Tx. His parents was both of Cherokee descent, and his grandfather and grandmother, John "Jack" Bean and his wife, Ruth Starr Bean were a part of the "Trail of Tears" Indians had to endure from the Smokey Mts. of Tenn. to Okla. Grover, his parents, and 1/2 of his siblings are buried in the Kilgore City Cemetery. The other 1/2 of his siblings are buried in the Thompson Cemetery, Laird Hill, Tx., Rusk Co.( Julia, Mary Ann, and Ruth, all died before their 7th birthday)
Grover never married and had no children.
