Ornie Lee Knight, 86, of Penn Laird, passed away April 18, 2009, at Harrisonburg Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Knight was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Rockingham County, and was a son of the late John R. and Bessie Lee Morris Knight.
He had attended the Church of God in Harrisonburg and retired from James Madison University after 16 years of service.
His wife, Christy "Elizabeth" Wyant Knight, preceded him in death on March 9, 2004.
The Rev. Wayne Taylor will conduct a graveside service 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
