Grossart Rites Held Saturday--

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Grossart, 91, of Wolbach were held Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach at 2 PM with the Rev. Donald Nelson officiating.

Mrs. Lloyd Studley and Mrs. Larry Steenson sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Old Rugged Cross" accompanied by the organist, Mrs. William Paulman, Jr.

Casketbearers were Clyde Berney, Austin Berney, Virgil Berney, Loyal Berney, Leon Berney and Glen Grossart. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery at Wolbach.
McIntyre-Jacobsen Funeral Home of Wolbach was in charge of arrangements.

Josephine Grossart, daughter of Joseph and Ursula Danhouser Berney was born May 3, 1883 in Greeley County. She received her education in a rural school northeast of Wolbach and grew to womanhood there.

On December 12, 1904 she was united in marriage to William Grossart in Greeley County. The couple farmed near Wolbach until 1919 when they moved into town. Mr. Grossart died in June of 1929 and she continued to reside in Wolbach.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Wolbach.

She passed from this life on Thursday, November 21, 1974 at the Genoa Hospital at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 18 days.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Cook and Mrs. Willa Berney, both of Wolbach, Mrs. Agnes Patrick of Genoa, Mrs. Lillian Wichard of Minatare, Mrs. Lila Terry of Norwald, California and Mrs. Ruby Bearbower of Midway City, California; one son, William Grossart Jr. of Grand Island; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceding in death were her husband, 3 sisters, Mrs. Rose Henggler, Mrs. Lena Grossart, Mrs. Emma Grossart, 5 brothers, Joseph, John Peter, George and Chris and her parents.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral services were: Mrs. Lila Terry of Norwalk, California; Mrs. Lillian Wickard, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Wickard and Doris Nuss all of Minatare; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Nuss of Kearney; Mr. and Mrs. George Grossart of Hastings; Jessye Vincent and Mrs. E. L. Campbell of Grand Island; Pete Grossart of Sterling, Colorado and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lammers and Brian of Julesburg, Colorado.
