Grossart Rites Held Sunday

Funeral services for Emma Grossart of St. Paul, were held at 3 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach Sunday, May 19 with the Rev. Elton R. Walth officiating. Mrs. Grossart died May 16 at St. Paul.

Mrs. Victor Grossart and Mrs. Larry Steenson sang "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" and "God's Tomorrow." Organist was Mrs. William Paulman Jr.

Casketbearers were Richard Bahensky, Eugene Bahensky, Damon Bahensky, Jerry Grossart, Laurence Berney and Junior Grossart. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery at Wolbach.

Emma Grossart was born June 13, 1886 in Greeley County to Joseph and Eursula Berney. She departed from this life on May 16, 1974 in St. Paul at the age of 87.

Emma received her education and grew to womanhood in Greeley County. In 1906 she was united in marriage to Richard Grossart in Greeley county. In 1908 they moved to Wolbach where he was the city utilities manager and telephone lineman. Mr. Grossart died in September of 1955. Emma remained in Wolbach until 1966 when she moved to St. Paul, Nebraska. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach.

She is survived by one son, Glen Grossart of St. Paul, two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Erma) McLain and Mrs. Ray (Eva) Bahensky both of St. Paul; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Grossart of Wolbach; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, one son, Joseph; five brothers, John, Pete, George, Joe and Chris, two sisters, Mrs. Rose Henggler and Mrs. Lena Grossart, and by her parents.
