Carl Frank, 1808 Spruce St, died Monday at Applewood Living Center. He was 83.
He was born July 28, 1902, in Denhoff, Russia, the son of Henry and Mary Frank. The family immigrated from Russia to Loveland in 1906. He married Violet V. (George) Darras on Nov 5, 1947, in Colorado Springs. they moved to Hygiene in 1960, then to Longmont in 1979.
Mr. Frank, a carman for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad for 28 years, retired in 1951. He was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by his wife of Longmont; a son, LeRoy Frank, Denver; three daughters, Mrs. Rudy (Virginia) Dionigi, Hygiene, Mrs. Barbara Townsend, Denver, Mrs. Rocco (Maxine) Stefano, Morgan Hill, Calif; two brothers Jacob Frank, Loveland, John Frank, Huntington, Calif.; one sister, Kathryn Miller, Denver; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons; a son-in-law, Richard Townsend; one brother; and five sisters.
Visitation will be until 9 p.m. tonight at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Rev. Glenn A. Isernhagen officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Ahlberg Funeral chapel is in charge of arrangements.
