Born April 11, 1882, Frank, Russia, daughter of Jacob and Mary (Stroh) Gettman. Died October 8, 1946. Married Jan. 19, 1900 to Conrad Brening, at McCook, Nebraska, by Rev. Essig. In 1885 she came with her parents to America, and the family lived for a time in McCook, Nebraska.

Mary Brenning, nee Gettman, was born April 11, 1882, Frank, Russia, daughter of Jacob Gettman and Mary Stroh. At Frank she was baptized and in the year 1885 she came with her parents to America, and the family lived for a time at McCook, Nebr.
At McCook she was married to Conrad Brenning the 19th of January, 1900, the marriage performed by Rev. Essig.
In 1908 the family came to Colorado. She had always been in good health until the last 10 months preceding her death when she suffered intensely from an abscess on the brain. She passed away Oct. 8, 1946 at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 27 days.
She is survived by her husband, Conrad Brenning of Liberty Hall; 5 sons, George of Wilmar, Calif., Lucas of San Carlos, Calif., Albert and Reuben of Cheyenne, Wyo., Ralph of Ft. Lupton, Colo.; 5 daughters, Mrs. Katie Burch and Mrs. Freda Nelson of Longmont, Colo., Mrs. Helen Hart of San Leandro, Calif., Mrs. Rose Wokersin of Mead, Colo., and Mrs. George Smith of Liberty Hall: three brothers, John Gettman in the State of Washington, Conrad in Cheyenne, Wyo., Joe in Berthoud, Colo.; four sisters, Leah Gettman of Las Angeles, Calif., Amelia Gettman of Cheyenne, Wyo., Mrs. George Mill and Mrs. (Rev.) George Batt of Greeley, Colo.; 18 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
Services were held in Longmont, Colorado, Pastor George W. Busch officiating.
