CAMERON — Services for David Kent Matthews, 58, of Rockdale will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. Doug Springer and the Rev. Calvin Springer officiating.
Burial will be at Marlow Cemetery.
Mr. Matthews died Monday, Oct. 25, at his home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1952, in Austin to Manuel and Edna Hardwick Matthews. He graduated from Rockdale High School in 1970. He married Cynthia Praesel on June 18, 1971. He owned and operated Dave's Enterprises, which included Dave's Antenna Sales and Service and Matthews Auto Parts.
Survivors include his wife of Rockdale; two sons, Eric Matthews of Rockdale and David Lee Matthews of Harper; a daughter, Amanda Matthews Gallop of Austin; a brother, Ricky Matthews of Rockdale; a sister, Donna Abbott of Belton; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
