Mrs. Lydia Oakley, 86, of 205 Doty St., Fond du Lac, died Friday morning at St. Agnes Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks, being in ill health for the past nine months.
The former Lydia Merrill, was born April 30, 1880, in Calumet county, a daughter of Almond and Jennie Todd Merrill.
Her marriage to Mr. Oakley took place at Chilton, December, 1930, where they operated a farm.
She was a graduate of Sheboygan Business College, and an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her husband, four brothers and one sister preceeded her in death.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Candish Funeral Chapel, Fond du Lac. Pallbearers were Gene E. Phillips, Donald Whittmar, Edwin Carlson, Arthur Thompson, Francis Hoekstra and Berton Hoffman.
Burial was in the Portland cemetery, Brant.
