A native of Loogootee, Mr. Greenwell was born Nov. 9, 1895 to the late William T. and Emma Singleton Greenwell. On Oct. 11, 1916 in Jackson County, he married the former Anna E. Porter, who survives.
Mr. Greenwell was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He was a retired mechanic.
Survivors in addition to the widow and daughter include four children, Mrs. Carl (Emma) Weller and Mrs. Stanley (Shirley) Garvey, both of Seymour, Mrs. Jack (Rita) Nowling of Medora and Mrs. Ray (Joan) Donica of Columbus; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded Mr. Greenwell in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday from St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary at any time . Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight at the Voss Chapel.
